 Please do not allow your lawn to grow to excessive heights, and then mow very short. No more than one third of the length of the grass blade should be cut for each mowing, if this does happen it will cause stress to your lawn. Mower blades that are not sharp will tear the grass blades, this will give your lawn a brown appearance on the top. Mowing height recommended for floratam grass should be around 31/2 inches.
